The objectives of Desa AMal Jirah are two-pronged: to provide shelter and to shape the character of the children who come to us. It is not only important to us that the children be educated and trained but also to ensure that these children are moulded with fine character.

A. TO BLESS THE CHILDREN

• To provide the children with temporary shelter they can call home that's filled with love, care, compassion, kindness and understanding.

B. TO HELP THE CHILDREN

• Mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
• To overcome their bruised and abused emotions.
• Through counselling and prayers to develop a positive self-worth.
• In their school lessons and to develop proper study habits.

C. TO MOTIVATE THE CHILDREN

• To study well and to be somebody one day.
• To be a success in life.
• To strive for excellence in their lives.

D. TO TEACH THE CHILDREN

• To have proper values and standard for life.
• To be good parents one day. (Even though they may not have had good role model).
• To be good, self-reliant and responsible citizens.
